I decided to tinker around on an old kid's practice first act piano. There are metal rods inside that are struck, and produce a plink/ringing sound. It is also out of tune, which makes it wonderful for producing an eerie feeling when played in a minor key.

My wife bought me this cool remote control helicopter for my birthday, so i recorded it flying around the room. It's a light spinning top that you have to magnet to its launcher. It must then be rotated around the base of the launcher before ejecting it. When it spin, it lights up. Recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.
